JUX Visio Slider


1.1. Overview   

JUX Visio Slider is an extension of JOOMLA. Help users more easily create slide shows to view images, see the product, and advertising. With many beautiful template slide is available, users simply editing content for using.

3.1. Server Re​quirements

Our extension has several system requirements as below:

- Apache 2.0 or above - http://www.apache.org recommended: Apache 2.0 or above.

- PHP 5.2.4 or above - http://www.php.net recommended: PHP 5.3 or above.

- MySQL 5.0.4 or above - http://www.mysql.com recommended: MySQL 5.0.4 or above.

- Joomla! 3.0 or above - http://www.joomla.org recommended: Joomla! 3.x.

You have to ensure that your system has already installed, XML and Zlib-Support built into your PHP.

PHP should be compiled with support for https (openSSL) and cURL.

PHP Safe Mode should be turned off.

4.2. JUX Slideshow Installation

Go to Administrator site => “Extension” => “Extension Manager” in the Top Menu.

In “Upload Package File” block, please Upload & Install our extension:

 pkg_jux_slideshow 1.x.x.zip

4.3. Language Installation

JUX SlideShow 1.x’s interface can be switched to different languages. Default language is English. To make JUX SlideShow 1.x able to run with different languages, please follow these steps:

- Download & Installation new Joomla! Language File.

- After installing your language, let say its xx-YY, you need to create the JUX SlideShow language file to your language by:

+ Copy this file: {site root}/language/en-GB/en-GB.com_jux_slideshow.ini

+ To: {site root}/language/xx-YY/xx-YY. com_jux_slideshow.ini

- Then translate it to your language.

Note: Sometimes you need to change encoding type of language file to “UTF8 without Bom” (you can use notepad++ to change encoding type of the file).

If you want to change backend language, do the same with language in “administrator” folder.

- Switch the global Language

- For Joomla! 3.x: go to “Extensions” => “Languages Manager”, select the language of your choice and make it “Default” by clicking that icon in the toolbar.

5.1. Manage Slide Show

At the admin interface of slideshow, you’ll see slideshows displayed in an accordion. When clicking on any slideshow, you can see how it plays. And with attaching method, you can easily attach a slideshow to frontend view e.g. menu, module, article. Remember that only slideshow in the slideshow list with Publish status will display in frontend.

5.2. Configure backend basic information

Here is the management interface of JUX Slideshow, allowing you to control slideshow list, add new slide, delete or attach slide, etc.

5.2.1. View list album

a. List slideshow: List of slide show allowing selecting slide to display in frontend

b. Template Slideshow: list of pre-made slideshows for you to easily create your own from them.

5.2.2. New, edit Slideshow

a.    New slideshow: Click add button (cross icon) on the right side of List Slideshow button to create new slideshow. You will create a blank slideshow and then go to edit view to edit content of that slideshow. 

b.    New Slideshow by template: click add button (cross icon) on the right slide of List Slideshow on Template Slideshow to create new slideshow by template. You will create a new slideshow which has the same images, captions and effects like the template you chose. Then you can edit to customize this slideshow as you desire.

c.  Edit slideshow: Click Configure button (configure icon) on the right side of slideshow’s button to edit a slideshow.

d.  Change Order of Slideshow: You can drag and drop Album button to change album’s order

e. Delete Slideshow: You can drag and drop Slideshow to Recycle bin to delete album.  It will display a message ask you if you want to delete album

5.3. Edit slideshow

This is Edit Slideshow view. You can edit or setup slides with caption, effect that you want. You have direct visualization of the changes as you edit slides without having to refreshing page.

5.3.1. Effect tab:

This tab displays information of slideshow and allows adding/deleting images, captions, changing effect/style for image/caption…

a.    Add slide: At first slideshow will completely blank and you have to add images to slides by clicking on button “Add Slide”. This interface is for you to select images for your slides and choose the preferable ones. You can upload multiple images at once or select images from image folders in your website.

        Besides, you can order images/slides by dragging ‘n dropping to preferred position. After that, you have to click Order and Refresh so the changes will be saved on tab layout.

b. Caption for slide: Select a slide and look at the right side, you’ll see where you can put caption for slide or change effect for caption as below:

Click cross button in tab Caption edit and then enter content to textbox, you’ll be able to create a slide like below. By clicking on caption, you can change width & height of caption by moving to the right side or to the bottom.

You can also enter HTML code to this textbox so that your content will display more beautiful.

Caption’s style: this is a list of styles for caption. You can select a style to display in harmony with your slide’s content.

Caption’s effect: This is a list of effects for caption. Currently there are: from left, right, top, bottom, fade, scale… It is recommended that you should choose delay(ms) – this value is the time to play caption effect on slide.

c. Effects for slide:  JUX Slideshow supports many effects including 2D & 3D effects. You can choose effect for each slide or choose one effect for the whole slideshow by clicking button “Apply for each slide”:
